Beyond the Stage: Building Community Through Collaboration

Through partnerships with more than 45 local organizations, we bring the arts into hospitals, schools, senior communities, social-service agencies, and civic groups—using creativity to support wellbeing, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

We now provide more than 120 inclusive and outreach programs each year, serving over 5,000 participants so far, including more than 1,000 frontline professionals. That number continues to grow, with more than 700 new frontline professionals served every year—only a portion of the total individuals we reach through these programs.

Partners include the hostage negotiation team of the Collier County Sheriff's Office; the doctors & nurses of Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH); teachers and students at Grace Place; seniors and caregivers at the Baker Senior Center; and people with Alzheimer's and their caregivers at the Alzheimer's Support Network, among so many others...

ARTrx Program

ARTrx is a collaboration between The Naples Players and Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) that uses theatre techniques to support patients, families, and medical staff during the healthcare process. TNP teaching artists work inside NCH hospitals and clinics, leading short, structured activities that help people manage stress, communicate clearly, and stay engaged during treatment or recovery.

Sessions may include guided breathing, simple improv games, light movement, role-play, and communication exercises that help patients express their needs and help families stay calm and connected. For care teams, ARTrx offers tools for listening, empathy, and bedside communication. The program strengthens the patient experience, supports emotional wellbeing, and brings a sense of normalcy and human connection into clinical environments.

How we partner...

Each collaboration starts with a shared goal: using theatre to make a real impact. Whether we’re helping care partners improve communication, offering arts experiences for individuals with disabilities, or creating moments of connection for seniors and veterans, every program is shaped to meet the needs of our partners and the people they serve.

Here are three groups that rely on strong communication, adaptability, and human connection every day:
