Right place. Right moment: How Lexii Found The Naples Players
Serving on the stage management team is always demanding, but for Lexii Clemons, volunteering at The Naples Players has offered an exciting opportunity to step into the fast-paced rhythm of live theatre and rise to every moment it required. Lexii Clemons’ journey with TNP began in the most unexpected way. While attending a performance of Sweeney Todd to support a former coworker, she found herself lingering in the lobby after the show and accidentally stepping into a post-show cast and crew gathering. Listening to volunteers speak passionately about their roles and the collective effort behind the production deeply moved her. She left that evening knowing she had to get involved and hasn’t looked back since. Since joining TNP, Lexii has worn many hats, volunteering as a dresser, lighting crew member, backstage support, and usher. Her flexibility, reliability, and enthusiasm make her a go-to volunteer across departments, and she’s always ready to jump in wherever help is needed.
Why She Keeps Coming Back:
Some of Lexii’s fondest memories were made during Little Women, where she grew especially close with the cast and shared countless laughs backstage. Those connections are part of what makes volunteering so meaningful for her. She’s especially excited to reunite with some of those same cast members while working on 9 to 5, continuing to build new memories and creative collaborations at TNP. For Lexii, it’s all about the people.
“The warmth I get from every interaction with everyone is truly priceless,” she says. The sense of community, support, and joy she experiences at TNP is what keeps her coming back show after show.
TNP Beyond the Theatre:
Originally from Long Island, New York, Lexii earned her bachelor’s degree in Show Production from Full Sail University before returning home and building a successful career in the auto industry. She currently works as the Controller at Bonita Beach Mitsubishi.
When she’s not at work or volunteering, you can usually find her at home cuddling her cat, Kitty.
Lexii’s passion for The Naples Players extends far beyond the stage doors.
“I’ve found that volunteering at TNP actually inspires others!” she shares. “At work, I’m often boasting about having to get to the theatre and see all my friends. Everyone always asks how I do it and where I find the energy. Simple: TNP feeds my soul.”
A True TNP Champion:
