The Naples Players (TNP) is pleased to announce it has received a $15,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Collier County to support expansion of online education programming.
After closing their physical theatre location on 5th Avenue South on March 12, TNP was the first arts organization in Collier County to take their entire education program into a digital, online offering. Since then, more than 1,200 students have enrolled in over 50 virtual programs and classes offer by TNP. Over 300 of those enrolled were children and adults with special needs who have benefitted from collaborative classes offered to other local non-profit organizations.
“This grant will allow us to develop new courses and continue fulfilling our commitment to keep our community educated, inspired, and entertained during these unprecedented times,” said Executive Artistic Director Bryce Alexander.
The Community Foundation of Collier County awards annual grants through a competitive application and review process. Selected organizations receive grant dollars from the Changing Needs Fund. This Fund is made up of donors who believe in the Community Foundation’s ability to identify and grant to the most community’s most current needs.
