This month's feature...
"My Favorite Husband" began in 1948 as a radio sitcom on CBS Radio, with Lucille Ball and Richard Denning as Liz and George Cooper. In earlier episodes the sir name was Cugat but changed to Cooper with the 26th episode in 1949. The change presumably occurred because Xavier Cugat, a famous bandleader at that time objected to the use of this name. The series was adapted for television in 1953 and was the basis for the TV sitcom I Love Lucy. In this episode , Liz endeavors to knit her husband a sweater while navigating through humorous misunderstandings and mishaps and fending off the misgivings of her mother-in-law.
