The Naples Players’ Full-Time Academy of Dramatic Arts

The Naples Players is excited to announce the launch of our Full-Time Academy of Dramatic Arts, opening September 2025!

This new offering builds on our existing TNPAcademy, which will continue to offer after-school, weekend, and seasonal programs. The Full-Time Academy is designed for middle and high school students seeking a more immersive academic and artistic experience.

What Makes the Full-Time Academy Unique?



Academic Excellence

Students complete coursework through Florida Virtual School (FLVS), supported by experienced faculty on campus, personalized academic plans, and SAT/ACT prep. This flexible model ensures that students can pursue a wide variety of academic pathways without limiting their opportunities.



Expert Leadership

The Academy will be developed and led by seasoned independent school administrator Steven Caruso, in partnership with Jennifer Price, Director of Education at The Naples Players.



Integrated Arts Training

In-depth instruction in acting, directing, musical theatre, dance, voice, design, and technical production—taught by professional teaching artists including TNP’s Artistic Directors Dawn Lebrecht Fornara, Charles Fornara, and Phillip Fazio.



Creative Community

Students build confidence and leadership through collaboration, mentorship, and performance in a supportive environment.



College Connections

What if my student doesn’t enroll full-time?

Our current Academy programs aren’t going anywhere—they’ll continue to thrive and grow! Students who prefer after-school, weekend, or seasonal classes will still have access to the same high-quality theatre education, workshops, and productions they know and love.

Full-Time Academy students will have separate productions designed specifically for their curriculum and training. However, they’ll continue to participate in and support our broader after-school productions—fostering a strong sense of community and ensuring meaningful connections between all students, regardless of enrollment type.

Enrollment Now Open for 2025–2026

Enrollment will be limited in the first year to ensure a high-quality, personalized experience. We invite students in middle school and high school who are seeking a blend of academic rigor and artistic passion to apply.
