A Dynamic Duo with a Heart for Service

Ann & Bob Geach
If you’ve attended a show at The Naples Players (TNP) lately, chances are you’ve been greeted with warm smiles and friendly conversation from Robert “Bob” and Ann Geach. This husband-and-wife team, who began volunteering in March 2024, have quickly become cherished members of the TNP family. Whether ushering patrons to their seats or helping behind the bar during intermission, the Geaches bring energy, humor, and heartfelt enthusiasm to every shift.
Originally from Michigan, Bob and Ann each had long, accomplished careers with Chrysler Corporation—Bob for 36 years and Ann for 26. Bob also served his country with honor in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Vietnam, before earning degrees in mechanical engineering and management. Ann, whose warmth and creativity shine through in everything she does, enjoys crocheting and spending time near the water.

The couple has been married for 33 years and share one son. They moved to Naples 15 years ago and love the life they’ve built here—especially with their beloved dog, Sammy. Beyond TNP, Ann has volunteered for 13 years with NCH and also gives her time to Freedom Waters Foundation.
From Tour Guests to Devoted Volunteers
Their journey began with a simple group tour of TNP—an experience that sparked a deep affection for the theater and its mission. “We fell in love with it,” they recall. Since then, they’ve become regulars in the volunteer corps, most often found ushering at performances, where their kindness and attention to detail ensure every patron feels welcome and valued.

But for both Ann and Bob, the real highlight remains the shows themselves. “Obviously, being able to see the plays performed by the fabulous TNP cast members is such a treat,” Ann shared. Her favorites include Death of a Salesman, The Half-Life of Marie Curie, and The Hallelujah Girls.
A Passion for People and Community
When asked what keeps them coming back, their answer is simple:
“You do what you love if you love what you’re doing.”
They cherish meeting patrons, engaging with fellow volunteers, and being part of the vibrant TNP environment. “The employees and volunteers are all so wonderful!” they added.
Thank You, Bob & Ann!
Bob and Ann exemplify the spirit of volunteerism at TNP—dedicated, kind, and always ready to lend a hand. We are honored to celebrate them as our Volunteers of the Month for July 2025.
Be sure to say hello the next time you see them at the theater!
