WATCH IT HERE: Naples In Residence: Aid for the Arts
Naples’ performing arts community has been hit hard by the recent closures due to COVID-19. The Naples Players (TNP), like many other theatres nationwide, rely heavily on ticketed performances to continue to fund the programs, classes and community arts initiatives we’ve all come to know and love.
While we know that choosing to prioritize the health and safety of our volunteers, staff, and patrons by postponing performances starting on March 13th, we have since lost more than $140,000 in ticket refunds and continue to average a loss of nearly $15,000 per day for every canceled performance.
Our Naples In Residence initiative that digitally features and shares local artists of all ages and abilities is a recent development by TNP. In conjunction with this initiative, we are now launching an Aid for the Arts Concert Series!
Join us as we welcome the local duo Chariot, comprised of Naples’ own Jesse and Amy Hughes, for a live-streaming concert this Saturday, March 28 from 4-5 p.m. To watch and enjoy the performance is completely free, but we will have a donation link live and open through both Facebook and The Naples Players website to receive donations. Over 85% of all annual revenues at TNP go directly back into our classes and programs that serve ages 4 to 104 right here in Naples.
Please consider tuning in, donating, and spreading the word about this wonderful live event in support of the arts and The Naples Players.
