Dave Elliot talks to the women behind the amazing costumes worn in The Naples Players Shows. Dot Auchmoody and Mary Wallace discuss the upcoming period musical My Fair Lady and the intricacies of costuming singing and dancing actors including the elaborate hats required for this show. Mary and Dot discuss the process of researching the period, then fitting each actor and designing their costumes. Volunteers are welcome to come and assist with sewing and hat making. TNP is even offering a Saturday morning class beginning in January where you can learn to make hats like the ones in My Fair Lady? Learn to create these iconic hats through a three-session hands-on workshop! Work with Mark Vanagas to learn how to design and craft these unforgettable costume pieces. Then sit back and watch the hats you create worn onstage in TNP’s spring production of My Fair Lady!
